Naming My Latest Startup

Blog Post No Comments

So as it turns out it’s actually quite difficult to come up with a name for your latest venture that ticks all of the boxes:

  1. Catchy
  2. Easy to pronounce
  3. Memorable
  4. Self-explanatory
  5. Available (in terms of the domain name)

MyDish.co.uk is a social recipe network – a place to share family recipes, learn and meet new people!

MyDish hired me a as a consultant in September 2009 to hand code static HTML webpages from Photoshop documents which they provided.

After 2 months I was tasked with the creation of a “jQuery Calendar Wizard”, and recently I developed their Christmas Homepage which included a countdown to the big day.

“When our company requires a freelance web developer Sam is always first on our list.
We have found his work to be of an excellent standard, his delivery on time and his prices to be extremely competitive.

I would have no hesitation in hiring Sam again in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone, .
especially those who require the javascript skills needed to build a top-notch web 2.0 website.”
